Welcome to my Website

Welcome to my website my name is Sue, I'm a small hobby breeder, exhibitor of the British Shorthair concentrating on blues with the occasional associated colour's cream, blue creams and recently introduced blacks with the addition of Gracie & Imperial Grand Champion Cheslo Needham Zak's daughter Ebony, Imperial Grand Champion Beauxchats Positively Onyx.

I am a member of both the Southern British Shorthair & Camb Cat Club and a committee member of the Suffolk & Norfolk & Exotic Cat Society; I have been a member of the GCCF Breeders Scheme since 2014 which promotes responsible breeding, following their guidelines all kittens are GCCF registered on the non-active register, fully vaccinated including leukaemia and microchipped ready for their new homes at 13 weeks.

Breeders Scheme

The GCCF was established as an independent body in 1910, and health and welfare is at the heart of everything we do. A principle aim is to encourage Responsible Breeding of pedigree cats, and Responsible Owning of all cats, pedigree or otherwise – that is why we set up the GCCF Breeder Scheme in 2013, to help us achieve that objective.

Code of Ethics

Breeders who have signed up to the GCCF Breeder Scheme have shown their commitment to the standards required by the scheme's code of ethics.

The code requires breeders to meet various criteria, as listed below:

They must show commitment to their breed by being a member of a GCCF affiliated cat club for the breed.

They must be familiar with what the breed should look and behave like and endeavour to breed cats of this type.

They must ensure that their own cats are well cared for.

They must take steps to make sure the kittens they breed have the best chance of a happy, healthy life and leave them fit and well. Kittens, must have completed the full course of vaccines, been examined by a vet at least twice and be GCCF registered and insured.

They must try to make sure kittens they breed go to individually suitable loving homes and that their new owners are given the support and help they may need to look after them.
